Truclusion is Washington State's contracted firm for the...
Charles Mitchell and George Washington Bush Study on Reparative Action

The Charles Mitchell and George Washington Bush Study on Reparative Action will explore the historical injustices of U.S. chattel slavery and its enduring impacts on the direct descendants of victims, with a focus on the legacy within Washington State laws, policies, and economic structures. The Truclusion team has been tasked with assessing the legacy of slavery and discriminatory practices in Washington and provide recommendations of remedies that will advance racial equity and develop specific, evidence-based, actionable reparative policies and recommendations for state-level reparative policies and contribute to national discussions on reparations.

Truclusion is dedicated to conducting this work transparently and rooted in the highest academic and research standards. Community engagement and participation is essential. Please check back here in early March to see how you can engage and participate in the process.
