ARIEL DAVIS, MPA

Community Engagement Specialist

Ariel Davis is a community engagement strategist and collaborative governance leader dedicated to strengthening systems that support youth, families, and historically underserved communities. Known for her relationship centered leadership style, she works at the intersection of education, housing, and community investment to design initiatives that expand opportunity and promote long term community well being.

Raised in South Seattle, Ariel brings both lived understanding and professional expertise to her work. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington Tacoma and a Master of Public Administration from Seattle University, where she developed a strong foundation in public service, strategic planning, and cross sector collaboration.

Ariel’s leadership focuses on building authentic partnerships between community members, public institutions, and cross sector stakeholders. She believes effective community engagement must be culturally responsive, community informed, and grounded in trust. Through collaborative governance models, she works to ensure that community members help shape policies, programs, and investments that directly affect their lives.

Her work centers on youth development, educational opportunity, and leadership cultivation. Ariel is particularly passionate about expanding equitable pathways to post-secondary education and career success, while strengthening the systems that help young people and families thrive.

Committed to innovation and equity, Ariel champions initiatives that bring together government, nonprofits, educators, and community leaders to address complex challenges. By fostering long term relationships and shared accountability, she advances solutions that are both impactful and sustainable.

Through her work, Ariel continues to empower communities, elevate youth voices, and build collaborative frameworks that drive meaningful and lasting change.

Ariel is particularly passionate about contributing to research and dialogue around reparations for Foundational Black Americans. She views this work as an opportunity to deepen public understanding of historical inequities while helping shape thoughtful, community informed policy solutions. For Ariel, reparations research is not only about addressing past harms, it is also about building a more just and inclusive future through transparency, education, and collaborative governance.

Drawing on her experience in community engagement, Ariel prioritizes ensuring that the voices, experiences, and perspectives of impacted communities are meaningfully included in research and policy development. She believes that sustainable progress comes from partnerships between community members, public institutions, and cross-sector leaders working toward shared goals.

Through this work, Ariel is excited to help contribute to rigorous research, foster informed conversations, and support pathways that advance equity, accountability, and long term community well being.
