Reparations Study Project Manager

   Marvin "Marv" Jones, Captain, U.S. Navy (retired) is a distinguished miliary veteran who served over 30 years active duty as a Navy Medical Service Corps officer and hospital administrator. Today, he is a seasoned organizational development consultant, DEI practitioner, leadership coach, and healthcare executive.
   During his military career, Marvin served as the CEO (Commanding Officer) for Naval Health Clinic Charleston, South Carolina, and subsequently, as the CEO (Base Commander) for Naval Support Activity Bethesda, Maryland - the military installation that houses Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Uniformed University of the Health Sciences. In this high visibility leadership role, Marvin directed and led the delivery of comprehensive installation support services for over 17,000 employees, patients, patrons, and daily visitors on the military base, while enabling mission success for 43 tenant organizations. He oversaw the planning and initial activities that set the stage for $750M in health facility construction and renovations, increasing support for Wounded Warriors and facilitating specialized treatment on the installation’s world class medical campus.
   In addition to other senior leadership roles, Marvin excelled as the Chief Diversity Officer for the Navy Medical Department enterprise, overseeing talent management and human capital strategy planning initiatives, while directing belonging and inclusion workshops for senior military and civilian healthcare leaders stationed at naval facilities around the globe.
   Marvin is a Senior VP for Truclusion Consulting, and specializing in talent management, training, and facilitation. He earned certifications in Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Management, and Organization Development and Change Leadership from Georgetown University. As an ICF-trained coach, Marvin enjoys assisting up-and-coming leaders. He remains actively engaged in the healthcare administration field and most recently served as a senior healthcare consultant for the Defense Health Agency.
   A strong advocate for service and volunteerism, Marvin is the Member-at-Large for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Pathway to Excellence, and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Veterans Health and Wellness Foundation.
