Kaig has been presenting and providing trainings on gender identity and LGBTQIA+ awareness since 2006. Through a mix of personal storytelling, humor, and interactive educational sessions Kaig untangles the complicated web of transgender, cisgender, and other gender identities. Kaig is an adjunct faculty member at Portland State University.

Emily volunteers as the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Chair for Pacific Northwest Swimming that serves over 6,000 young athletes in the Seattle area.
