We are currenty accepting applications for the position of:

Community Engagement Advocate

Job Description: We are seeking an individual who is passionate about connecting with diverse community members and empowering voices from traditionally marginalized groups. Community engagement includes both highlighting Truclusion’s work in the community and collecting perspectives and experiences from community members.  This is a temporary, summer position under the direct supervision of a principal or senior manager to fulfill the goals of a specific project.

Responsibilities: This position supports Truclusion and the city of Olympia in community engagement events with duties that may include…

• Assisting in setting up booth/table on location

• Assisting in promoting the survey by distributing flyers and providing verbal information

• Assisting in research data collection by inviting people to participate in surveys either using the tablets provided or scan QR code for access

Desired Experience: Candidates with at least some of the following are highly desired:

• Creative thinking, including looking at issues from a different perspective, identifying connections, and developing new approaches to solving problems

• Good organizational and time management skills; action-oriented and able to complete projects within a timely manner

• Communicate effectively with members of the community

• Customer service experience

• Working proficiency in Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean a plus

 

Requirements:

• An outgoing personality and enjoys interaction with people of all backgrounds

• Technologically savvy – able to help participants navigate the survey platform and initiate troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding clients, projects, and data
