Cohort Description

What you gain from participating the Decoding Whiteness cohort: • To be in community with similar professionals and shared experiences • Access to professional development tools that will increase your effectiveness when influencing change in your white-centered work environment • Experience working through real-life challenges that someone from the group brings into community (can be something you bring!) • Optional: Up to five 60-minute one:one individual coaching sessions with Dane (optional one:one coaching sessions are scheduled by each individual and can be zoom or telephone) What you commit to: • Putting each group session on your calendar and doing your best to protect the time so that you can show up • Understanding this space is designed to find solutions; there will be times to express and validate each other’s challenges, and ultimately we will focus on finding solutions and progressing through things • Willing to open a group call and run the check-in (by yourself or with a partner) What a typical group session looks like: • 10 minutes – connecting / check-ins led by participant(s) • 15 minutes – decoding a situation someone in the group is experiencing • 10 minutes – discussing and practicing a relevant tool • 15 minutes – practicing and processing as a group • 10 minutes – Questions, comments, observations or concerns Sliding-Scale Cost: • $1,200 - Non-BIPOC owned company with adequate PD budget • $600 - BIPOC-owned or managed company with adequate PD budget • $420 - You asked your company and they refused full amount, but they offered $400 (you pay $20) • $600 - You are paying yourself, and paying the whole amount will not keep you from affording something else you need this year • $50 - You are paying yourself, and paying the whole amount may result in you not being able to afford something else you need this year (planned, unplanned, necessary, or unnecessary expenses) All registration revenue is used to offset Truclusion's pro bono work for nonprofit organizations. (Dane donates his time to facilitate this group.) About the facilitator: Dane’s blend of 17 years in C-suites and 11 years facilitating DEI is invaluable for those seeking to better navigate and influence traditional spaces. Dane is an ACC-certified coach from the International Coaching Federation and has certificates in: Executive Certificate of Strategic Diversity & Inclusion Management, Emotional Social Competency Coach, and Human-Centered Design.


Cancellation and Acceptance Policy

Registration does not guarantee participation in this program. Priority will be given to those people who have named a cohort partner during registration and the partner has also registered. If you are not accepted into the program, you will either be waitlisted to a future cohort or receive a refund in the full amount of your deposit. Due to the limited availability of spots for each cohort, cancellations 30 days or more before the first group session will receive a full refund; cancellations 7-29 days before the first group session will receive a 50% refund; and cancellations less than 7 days before the first group session will not receive a refund.
